The trunk is the bridge between the nourishment of the roots and the leaves, and gives the tree its structure and height. While it can look like not a lot is happening in the trunk, without a strong and flexible trunk the tree couldn\u2019t stand. The three movements I\u2019ve placed in the trunk of the tree all have to do with how we relate to others and are part of systems larger than ourselves, so this is also a reminder that a single tree standing alone is more vulnerable than a tree that is part of a grove or a forest.
